Collection contains Sound Scriber recording discs used to record speakers on campus and around Oklahoma, historical events, ceremonies, banquets, and musical performances at Oklahoma A&M College.
Collection contains 372 seven-inch discs and a Sound Scriber machine (not working at this time).

1884 Cattle Drive. Starr Nelson in 1884 helped drive a herd of cattle from Gainesville, Texas, via El Reno, Oklahoma, to Dodge City, Kansas. On November 17, 1948, he flew his plane over this route. He headed a flight of a hundred planes operated by Flying Farmers. On October 14, 1948, Starr Nelson gave this recorded talk of about thirty minutes to a group of Oklahoma History students. at Okla. A & M. College. The talk is on three sides of green discus (sic?) records seven inches in diameter. In 1948 Nelson Starr live at Delta, Colorado.
