Folder 23: 2021 Fall Commencement

 File — Box: 5

Scope and Contents

From the Collection: Collection contains programs for OAMC/OSU graduation exercises held annually in the spring, initially in June and later in May. Programs for summer commencement exercises began in 1922 and continued regularly from 1926 through 1980. Mid-year December commencement programs were issued from 1949 through 1951 and in 1954. Commencement programs have been issued to celebrate graduation exercises, June 1896 to the present. From 1892 to 1895 there were spring commencement programs that were not related to graduation exercises; they are at the front of this collection. Note: Titles are given for doctoral dissertations and master’s theses. Lack of a title usually indicates that the candidate presented a master’s report or carried out a creative component to complete the degree; one copy of the report, if there was one, was prepared and presented to the department awarding the degree.

A reference set of this series, 1923 - present, is in Special Collections. In addition a set of this series that is almost complete is available in the Browsing Room beside the fireplace. Both sets are bound every three years.

Received from various sources over the years. Programs are bound 1923-1971; second copies of the final ‘official’ program that are not bound are also retained until a bound volume can be replaced by unbound copies.
