Essays, 1955
File — Box: 1, Folder: 12
Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
Collection contains correspondence, essays, speeches, news clippings, and reminiscence of the Battle of Ingalls, relating to Alfred Edwin Jarrell (1876-1959). Much of the material is concerned with Dr. B.B. Chapman’s project to write a history of OKlahoma A&M College/Oklahoma State University. Jarrell’s essays, including “The Founding of Oklahoma A. and M. College: A Memoir” (in OSU Vertical File), are characteristic of an 1890s literary style--meandering, generalized, and slow to get to a point.
