Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
Collection contains volumes of the Redskin, the yearbook of Oklahoma A&M College and Oklahoma State University.
From the Collection:
The first set, and the most important one, is the Archives copy. This occupies 9 records cartons.
There also are sets in the Special Collections Research Room and in the Browsing Room. In addition three or four copies are maintained in the circulating collection, at 378.766/Ok4r. An additional set has been developed so that if plans proceed to place Special Collections resources and some staff processing space in the Library Annex, staff there will have a non-archival copy that they can use. And an extra unassigned copy is kept for ‘just in case’. The holdings of these copies, or sets, are recorded in the data folder for 1964-003.
Additional unassigned volumes are retained to replace the volumes mentioned above as they wear out. We accept all copies in good condition that people may want to give to the Library. Worn out copies may be rebound.
The additional unassigned volumes are kept in the Bost Room closet and are not recorded. (These include one set, formerly used for homecoming and staff purposes. That is recorded in the data folder for 1964-003.) Periodically check the volumes in the Research Room, the Browsing Room, and the circulating collection to replace or rebind worn volumes with those in the closet. A list of the locations of the boxes in 1964-003 as of January 2000 is in the data folder.
