Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
Collection contains 401 buttons for political candidates primarily for the offices of U.S. President and Vice President. The lists for the buttons are separated into Democrat, Republican and other parties or state or local candidates. Only the wording on the buttons was transcribed with the exception of those buttons with only pictures. Multiple copies of the same button were grouped together when possible. The shapes of the buttons are identified as round, square, rectangle or oval. Buttons with numbers between 1 and 176 are larger than 2”. Other items include: one poster for Wendell Willkie; multiple copies for many of the bumper stickers; and one button catalog.

The collection is open for research use.
