Scope and Contents

From the Collection: Collection contains directories of students and faculty of Oklahoma A&M College, later Oklahoma State University. Early directories, until about 1935/36, were published in cooperation with the campus YMCA and YWCA organizations. In the 1930's and 1940's there are a few summer directories that list only students. Until 1993/94 most of the directories list students and faculty and staff. From 1916/17 to 1993/94 the hometowns or home addresses of students were usually included. As of 1994/95 the publication became a campus directory; the only students listed are those living in campus residential facilities, and faculty and staff included are those for which responses to an inquiry are returned in May.

The collection is open for research use. Manuscript collections and archival records may contain materials with sensitive or confidential information that is protected under federal or state right to privacy laws and regulations, the Oklahoma Open Records Act (http://www.odl.state.ok.us/lawinfo/docs/2006-LibraryLaws-PartE.pdf), and other relevant regulations.
