Collection contains photographs, diplomas, papers, and news clippings of Ladora Chesbro Smith's work as a home demonstration extension agent for Payne County, Oklahoma. Also contains awards, news clippings, slides, and photographs for Lester Smith, Ladora's second husband, for his work as the Payne County farm/agriculture extension agent.

Biographical Sketch

Ladora Chesbro Smith (1918-???) married Ray Chesbro, who was electrocuted March 20, 1948 in an accident in the ice plant where he worked in Haskell, OK. The Chesbros had four children: Jack, Bobby, Tommy, and Jody. She later married Lester Smith.
