Biographical Sketch

Charles F. "Chic" Dambach graduated from Oklahoma State University with a BA in Speech/Communications, and holds an MBA from Wake Forest University. He served for six years as the President and CEO of the Alliance for Peacebuilding, and prior to that, restructured the National Peace Corps Association. He was also Chief of Staff for Congressman John Garamendi (CA-3). Dambach and Congressman Garamendi created a team of returned Peace Corps Volunteers to help the leaders of Eritrea and Ethiopia end their border war, and develope a similar action in the Congo.

Dambach serves on the governing boards of the Alliance for Peacebuilding, Institute for Economics and Peace, International Peace and Security Institute, Peace x Peace, and the Institute for Horn of Africa Studies. He is also a Woodrow Wilson Visting Fellow, a program of the Council of Independent Colleges.
