Scope and Contents

Collection contains photocopy of a reprint of the Report of the Adjutant General of the State of Kansas, 1861-1865. Vol I, originally printed in 1867, reprinted in 1896. It contains the only printed record of the soldiers of Kansas during the Civil War, including name, rank, residence, date of enlistment, date of muster, and remarks as to what became of them. Includes official military history of Kansas regiments during the war for the suppression of the Great Rebellion, a narrative history of the Kansas regiments during the Civil War.
