Biographical Sketch

Benjamin M. Grant was born in Grandfield, Oklahoma in 1918. He attended college at Oklahoma A&M College (now Oklahoma State University), obtaining his bachelor's degree in Animal Husbandry. He served with distinction in the Army Air Force (now the U.S. Air Force) in World War II, having flown 56 combat missions in North Africa, Italy, and Scicily.

After the war, Grant moved to Washington and built one of the largest custom combine operations in the state of Washington.

He was married to his wife, Alma (Lynch) Grant, for over 70 years, until her death in 2011.
