Scope and Contents

Collection contains Oklahoma Engineering Experiment Station Publications, nos. 1-151 (1930-1968). The series title on the outside cover varies between Engineering Report and Engineering Research Bulletin after no. 115 (1960). Nos. 1-99 are also numbered as part of the Engineering Publications series; each has an additional distinct volume and issue number. Nos. 100-151 have only a publication number. After 1968 all reports of research activities in Engineering are separate series or titles.

Administrative History

The Engineering Experiment Station at Oklahoma A&M College was established in 1926 for the purpose of encouraging research activities integrally and intimately related to the educational program. Activities were administered from the dean’s office until 1945 when the Engineering Experiment Station became a separate administrative unit in the Division of Engineering. The title was changed to the Office of Engineering Research in 1958.
