Biographical Sketch

Frank Wikoff came to Stillwater, OK in 1889 at the age of 22. That year, he drew up Stillwater's first charter under which a provision government was established. He was the first city attorney for Stillwater and the first county attorney and first county judge for Payne County. Wikoff served as president of the Oklahoma A&M College Board of Regents from 1899 to 1907. He became involved with the Farmers' & Merchants Bank in 1891. In 1897 he helped found the Citizens' Bank of Stillwater later converted to the National Bank of Commerce of which he was president. From March to October 1901, he served as bank examiner of Oklahoma Territory. He also was elected vice-president of the Oklahoma Banker's Association. In 1909 he moved to Oklahoma City and founded the Tradesmens State Bank. He married Jennie A. Munhall.
