Administrative History

The Sigma Literary Society at Oklahoma A&M College was a student organization founded in 1893 in order to further student entertainment and social contacts. It also worked to improve its members’ oratory skills and general literature knowledge. During this time, other literary societies existed such as the Websters and the Omegas. These organizations were abolished because competition between groups got out of hand.
