Collection contains scrapbooks containing clippings, postcards, and programs collected by Fernandes. Subjects include tourist attractions, history, towns, agricultural and cultural events in Oklahoma. Programs are of musical events mostly in Oklahoma, Chicago, and Minneapolis.

Biographical Sketch

Grace Fernandes is listed as a student at Oklahoma A&M College (OAMC) in the 1923-24 catalog, and started teaching 1924-25. She received one of the first two masters degrees in home economics and received the first funded research project. She taught household art, home economics research, and sociology and rural life at OAMC from 1924-25 until 1938-39.
