Administrative History

Collection contains posters and propaganda from World War II. Most appear to have been sent to Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College in the 1940s to be posted for students and faculty to see. Others were sent to the library for filing or record keeping during and after the war. Recruitment, rationing, victory gardens, saving materials, careless talk, oxygen officers, Army Air Corps, the United Nations, savings stamps and bonds, price control and U.S. Nurse Corps are a few of the topics covered in the posters. Posters drawn by Norman Rockwell for the War are also in this collection. Dates range from 1941 to 1946.
