Scope and Contents

Collection contains copies of documents establishing the Oklahoma State University Development Foundation, the precursor of the Oklahoma State University Foundation, a joint resolution describing the relationship between the Universities’s Board of Regents and the Foundation, annual reports, audits, and newsletters including “Legacy,” and general publications that might be of research value. Also contains papers from the foundation.

The collection is open for research use. Administrative History

The purpose of the Foundation is to promote and benefit Oklahoma State University through the development and management of private resources on behalf of the University. The Oklahoma State University Development Foundation was created by alumni in 1961 in cooperation with the university’s Alumni Association. The name was changed to the Oklahoma State University Foundation on October 19, 1979. In 1992 a joint resolution was prepared which defined the relationship between the University and the Foundation, which is independent of the University.
