Scope and Contents

Collection contains offical list of degrees conferred by Oklahoma State University. This list is prepared by the Registrar’s Office at the end of each term. It indicates who received what degree and in which department the degree was granted. The list is arranged by the ‘major code’ assigned to each department; within that code it is alphabetical by last name of the graduates. The list has a limited distribution and is printed on standard 8 ½” x 11" white paper.

The collection is open for research use. Administrative History

This list is more official than the one that is in the Commencement Program each spring. The Registrar’s Office began issuing “...Degrees Conferred” in December 1980. It no longer published as the “Official Copy” of the Commencement Program; the last program was published in May 1980.

Titles used are: “Degrees Conferred,1961-1970 / Oklahoma State University”, “Official List of Degrees Conferred” 1980 -1982, “Official Listing of Degrees Conferred” 1982 - 1985, “Degrees Granted” 1986 - 1998, “Graduation List” 1999 – present.
