Biographical Sketch

Ferdie Deering (1910-1993) grew up in Ada, Oklahoma and began his career in journalism on the Ada newspaper in 1929. He was associate editor (1937-1943) and editor (1943-1972) of The Farmer-Stockman and active in agricultural journalism in Oklahoma and surrounding states.
