Collection contains Persian language books, National Geographic magazine, letter from Sam P. Gilstrap of the American Embassy, autograph book with photographs, and other information on Iran belonging to Sergeant James Lawrence.

Biographical Sketch

The material in this collection belonged to James Lawrence apparently during his service in Iran during or shortly after WWII. The autograph book refers to Lawrence as a sergeant, expresses kind feelings, and includes pictures of those friends left in Iran.
