Administrative History

The College of Arts and Sciences first formed at Oklahoma A&M College (now Oklahoma State University) under the name School of Science and Literature in 1908. In 1938 the college assumed its current name. Currently twenty-four departments fall under Arts and Sciences' jurisdiction; such as: the Theatre, Music and Art, Zoology, Psychology, History departments and others.
