The collection is open for research use. Administrative History

In 1926 President Knapp proposed a campaign for campus development that included the erection of the Student Union. Enrollment size at OAMC increased and created a need for more buildings and space. Due to the interference of World War II, construction of the union finally began in the late 1940’s and ended in the early 1950’s during President Bennett’s term. Funding for the construction and upkeep of the Union rested mainly on student fees. The building included a Bookstore, bowling alley, ballroom, hotel and other recreational areas.
