Project narrators came from 10 Oklahoma counties although the majority were from Cimarron, Texas, Beaver, Harper, Ellis, Dewey, and Woodward counties. Interviews focused on home life, domestic duties, family relationships and the lasting personal and collective impact of the Dust Bowl era.
