Scope and Contents Collection contains newspapers published by and for the American Indian peoples. These newspapers are primarily focused on Oklahoma or of general interest to the American Indian. Current issues of currently held titles are housed in the Main Library.

Scope and Contents Collection contains one copy of the Sunday edition of the Daily Oklahoman from April 23, 1939, which celebrates the golden anniversary of the 1889 land rush in Oklahoma.

Includes Stillwater News Press, (Welcome Back OSU, Welcome from OSU President Halligan) Thursday, August 19, 1999; The Daily Oklahoman, August 15th and December 30th, 1945 (WWII); The New York Sun, Coronation Issue (George VI, Emperor of India) Saturday, April 10, 1937.

Scope and Contents Collection contains volumes of the Oklahoma farm periodical “Oklahoma Farmer” plus its earlier titles “Oklahoma Farm Journal” and “Oklahoma Farm Journal and Southwest Stockman Farmer.” The serial was then continued under the name “Oklahoma Farmer-Stockman,” collection number 1996-102. Copies also available on microfilm. The Dewey classification number for “Oklahoma Farmer” is q630.5 O415, for prior titles it is q630.5 O41.
